tonight, I went to the movies alone.
I saw To Rome With Love. I do love Woody Allen films but I thought this one just wasn’t as good as some of his others. Midnight in Paris I thought was better. It was strange, because I watched Annie Hall earlier, so to go from seeing Woody Allen 35 years ago (who already looked older) to him now… just strange. The movie was alright. I like going to the movies alone. Surprisingly, the entirety of the audience was made up of women by themselves, a mother and daughter, and one couple. I guess I thought it’d be more of a date film…? In any case. It’s nice to go out and do things by yourself every once in a while. I was actually talking to a customer at work about this last week. She had come in to IHOP to have a decadent meal by herself and read a book. I specially made her a vanilla pepsi, even though it’s not on the menu- she said it was the best one she’s had in years.
